Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Kindling
Our Kentucky bourbon barrel kindling can be used to start a fire or to burn in mini wood stoves, such as a Solo Mini, pizza ovens, campfires, charcoal grills, or smokers.
-
From Kentucky, where nearly all bourbon in the world is made, our firewood is White Oak from a Kentucky bourbon distillery, where it has been used to age bourbon 4+ years.
After we acquire the wood, we continue to saturate it with bourbon, place the wood in airtight mylar bags, and heat seal it. This process preserves the unique aroma of the wood. When burned, it gives each fire a distinct bourbon scent.
A very heavy hardwood, White oak burns hotter than most woods in the US, leaving only a small amount of ash as the intensity of the heat burns all the wood. This makes white oak one of the most desirable woods to burn.
